Page 1 of 2 Some ninety years ago on October 13, 1917 about seventy thousand people who were gathered in expectation of a great event in the muddy fields of Cova da Iria in Fatima,Portugal witnessed the Miracle of the Sun. That event confirmed for the Church and its faithful believers that indeed it was Our Lady who had been appearing and giving messages for the Church through the three children Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia.
Almost exactly seventy years later in October of 1987, the late Jesuit priest, Antonio B. Olaguer, S.J. together with some 26 other Filipino pilgrims witnessed a similar if not the same supernatural spectacle, but this time in Medjugorje, Bosnia- Herzegovina in what was till then Yugoslavia.
That celestial supernatural gift eventually led Father Toti to embark on his singleminded personal mission to propagate Our Lady's many messages given in Fatima and elsewhere--for the rest of his life. And so just before he died on September 16, 2001 he completed the manuscript for Volume 2 his book “ Waiting for the Lord”.
The book is actually a series of spiritual reflections on Our Lady's messages and Novo Millenio Ineunte (NMI) which he had already conducted all over the Philippines before various groups of Marian devotees and members of the Marian Movement of Priests(MMP). Novo Millenio was the last major Apostolic Letter of the late John Paul II to highlight the close of the Great Jubilee of the year 2000.
Waiting for the Lord, was a prophetic title indeed for Father “Toti”. He died a few weeks after he finished its manuscripts, which essentially explained and correlated the Marian Movement of Priests' Blue Book, (a compilation of 604 messages of Our Lady to the MMP Founder, Reverend Father Steffano Gobbi), to the Fatima revelations and the Novo Millennio instructions of Pope John Paul II intended for the rest of the third milleniun. And so in order for our members and visitors, particularly those devoted to Our Lady and her daughter Holy Mother Church, for them to better understand her messages and this late great pope's last instructions for these portentous times, and how these closely dovetail with his equally outstanding successor's constant stream of encyclicals and other papal exhortations, Waiting for the Lord and Novo Millenio Ineunte are re-produced in their entirety.
